Maison de la Harpe in Dinan, Brittany is housed in a half timbered medieval building in the heart of the historic town of Dinan.
Dinan is a Medieval town in the north of Brittany, France. The town, surrounded by strong walls and fortifications, stands above the River Rance, shown in this image. It's narrow streets, old timbered houses, historic buildings and ramparts make it a popular destination for tourists. The house in this image, the Maison de la Harpe (l'ancien hotel de Kératry) in the Rue de l' Horloge, was not actually built in the town but was constructed near St Brieuc in 1559. It was removed in 1934 and reconstructed in Dinan in 1939!
