Maxwell was educated in the Bardolphschools, where he pursued his studies until hereached the age of eighteen years, was thenemployed for four years as a clerk in the hard-ware store of R. C. Wilcox, and at the end ofthat period bought the Bardolph News. whichhe has since continued to publish, conductinga job-printing department in connection withthe work of issuing the paper. His brother,Harry Maxwell, acts in the capacity of foreman.
