It was in the centre of the street that leads through the Newski perspective to the site where Tsar Alexander II had been surveyed. A box of dynamite and nitroglycerine had been placed at a depth of one metre. The control for its detonation was made from a house transformed by the nihilists into a milk and cheese dispenser.
