John is still giving intimations of whattook place in the western empire, duringthe sixth trumpet, without special regard tothe order of every event. Soon after thewo of the sixth trumpet, so far as it relatedto the conquests of the Turks, had ceased,John, in vision, hears an earthquake. Anearthquake, in prophecy, is the symbol ofa violent revolution, either religious or po-litical. Now what earthquake took placein the west soon after the cessasion of thewo of the sixth trumpet in the east.
