The view taken in 1828, shows the Ecuries du Roi, Rue St Thomas du Louvre, formerly the stables of the Duc d’Orleans. During the Revolution and after the Restoration the stables became a holding of the crown. The picture shows part of the Palais Royal. The image was drawn by J Nash under the direction of A Pugin and engraved by Romney
