Lithograph print circa 1890s advertising Frank Jones’ Brewery and Malt Houses, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA. Frank Jones, a politician and businessman, was one of the largest producers of ale in the USA and in 1896 the Portsmouth brewery was producing about 250,000 barrels of beer per year. Jones’ business empire also included part ownership of a brewery in Boston, Massachusetts – this print by John H Bufford & Sons appears to be a depiction of the Boston site.
