In the static station may be remotely controlled from panelsforming a part of the main power station switchboard. Thetransformers will be air-cooled and will stand over a base-ment, in which all the high-tension wiring will be East Colfax Substation Den City Tramway—Exterior View. After current from the main generating station is stepped upby these transformers it will pass through motor-operatedoil switches and be distributed on three overhead feeder linesto outlying substations.
