Aircrew training taking place at Cornwall Newquay airport for cews manning the new Norwegian AW101, the most advanced SAR Helicopter in the world today. Mission equipment includes Leonardo's Osprey Radar that provides 360 degree surveillance capabilty, power plant of three GE Aviation CT7-8 turboshaft engines, two rescue hoists, electro-optical/infrared sensor, automatic flight control system (AFCS) searchlight, mobile telephone detection system and a fully integrated avionics and mission system. The aircraft has a large cabin area and all weather capability.
