Tourists pause along a shoreline to view and photograph Icebergs from the Vatnajökull glacier floating free in the lake. The body of water developed into a lake as the glacier receded from the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. It is believed to be the deepest lake in Iceland and is considered one of the country's natural wonders.
