His Grand Fathers name wasBernard and his Grand Mothers name was Betty. After thedeath of his Mother, when about eight years of age, 1823, withhis father and eight other children, he left Ireland. He was thefourth child and the first son, there being ten in the last two being twins, one of whom was left with an auntin Ireland.
