The inflorescence of Beloperone is composed of a series of overlapping bracts or floral leaves, these bracts assuming a rich golden bronze tint when the plant is exposed to full light, and the two-lipped white flowers are produced successively between these bracts. The lower lip of the flower has a tessellated marking of pale purple, while the upper lip forms a hood over the dark stamens.
