Type: Antique 18th century engraved atlas map with old colour. A map of the central Indian Ocean, including the southern tip of India, Ceylon (Sri Lanka), the Maldives, The Laccadives, the Chagos archipelago and Diego Garcia, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Mergui Archipelago, and the northern tip of Sumatra. The map shows what appears to be a Phantom Island ("Ouro, suivant les Hollandois") west of Simeulue Island, itself off the west coast of Sumatra
