About half way along it the ruins ofthe deserted village of Rakhmani are visible at the foot of the eastern the fields between them and the railway line stands the mound known asthe Maghula of Rakhmani (p. lo, no. 76), which attracted the attention ofLolling, who thought he .saw the remains of walls on it. This mound,which is about eight metres high and 112 by 95 metres in area, is, the mounds at Tsatobasi and Makrikhori, the most northerly mound yetfound in this direction. Therefore it seemed a favourable site for excavated here from the 14th to the 27th April 1910; and the finds arenow in the Museum at
