A wild parrot, the Austral parakeet (Enicognathus ferrugineus minor), feeds on the flowers of a firebush, locally called a "Notro". These beautiful birds live in the beech (Nothofagus) forests in the Southern Andes of Patagonia, on both the Argentine and Chilean sides.
