. Economic entomology . Erj thriEUS ruricola. This species is of a beautiful carmine colour, but it is so small that it could scarcely be observed by the naked eye were it not for their whirling course, like a particle of dust blown about by the wind. They chase smaller acari than themselves, and carry them off in their palpi, not sparing, probably, even the smaller in- dividuals of their own species. They are found near Montpellier. ERYTHRiEUS CORNIGERA (Actineda comigera, Koch.).—27. Magnified sketch of ditto, copied from figure in Koch's Ubersicht.
