The early 1900s caption read: "Ketill Flatnose." Ketill Flatnose was the son of Bjorn the Ungartered. He was a mighty and high-born chieftain (known as a hersir) in Norway. He lived in Raumsdale, within the folkland of the Raumsdale people, which lies between Southmere and Northmere. Ketill Flatnose’s wife was Yngvild, daughter of a wealthy man named Ketill Wether.
