From the coronation book of King George VI & Queen Elizabeth published in 1937 photo taken 1936 photographer uncredited unknown. Bekonscot is believed to be the inspiration for many other model villages around the world and is widely known as the grandfather of the model village. Originally designed by Roland Callingham for the amusement of his guests it became more widely known in the 1930's & is now a big tourist attraction.
