Pyramidal brain syndrome. Axial and sagittal coloured magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of the head and brain of a 35-year-old patient with pyramidal syndrome of the brain. This is shown by the presence on the scans of many disseminated intraparenchymal hyperintensities, similar to the plaque formation seen in sclerosis-type conditions. The scan at left is the axial one, while the sagittal scan at right is orientated with the front of the head at left.
