Remains of a Medieval rectangular tower of the Welsh Princes within the Dark Age citadel of Dinas Emrys on an outcrop above the Afon Glaslyn river. Probably built/used by Llywelyn ab Iorwerth (d. 1240). The site is associated with the legend of Vortigern, a British leader exiled from SE England, the boy Ambrosius aka Merlin (Emrys in Welsh) & two battling dragons who emerged from the fort's pool.
