Edinburgh, Scotland. Fri 3 December 2021. The Northern Irish band Ash perform a one-off, intimate show at Edinburgh venue Sneaky Pete’s to raise money for independent grassroots music venues as part of the Passport: Back to Our Roots project. Passport: Back to Our Roots is a nationwide series of one-off intimate gigs by the UK’s biggest artists, supporting the independent grassroots venues that form the foundations of the UK’s live music scene.


Ash are a Northern Irish rock band formed in Downpatrick in 1989 with Tim Wheeler (guitar/vocal), Mark Hamilton (bass) and Rick McMurray (drums). The band celebrated their career spanning 25 years and two number one albums with the release of a specially compiled Best Of Teenage Wildlife: 25 Years of Ash in February 2020. This special Edinburgh concert began the band’s rescheduled Teenage Wildlife UK & Irish 12 date tour which was postponed due to Covid 19.
