London Southend Airport, Essex, UK. 29th Oct, 2023. An easyJet Airbus A320 has departed from a wet and murky London Southend Airport bound for Alicante-Elche Airport in Spain to re-launch the route following the cessation of flights due to the Covid pandemic. The Essex airport has been slow to recover from the pandemic, but with easyJet also launching a Paris service on the same day the future is now looking brighter for the airport which is still up for sale by current operators Esken Ltd. Flights now also serve Faro, Amsterdam, Malaga & Palma de Mallorca
