The Lodge - an eco-friendly and sustainable hotel owned by Cradle Mountain Lodge in Tasmania. An eco-tourism company specializing in guided walks through National Parks - luxury style, with hot showers, gourmet food and clean bedding, the company focuses on teaching guests to appreciate nature and tread lightly on the earth. Cradle Mountain Huts is one of several walking companies which have begun in Tasmania in the last few years. Allowing walkers who wouldn’t otherwise venture into the wilds the chance to do it without compromising on comfort, they are also challenging the island’s traditional industries of mining and forestry, proving that nature can earn a living without being exploited.
