BREMERTON, Washington (May 9, 2017) - Electrician's Mate 2nd Class Traneice Holman, from Chicago, and Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Fuel) Airman Ayanna Sheard, from Atlanta, demolish drywall during a community service event at the Kitsap Rescue Mission to expand their capabilities through renovation. Kitsap Rescue Mission is a local organization to aid the homeless. John C. Stennis is conducting a planned incremental availability (PIA) at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, during which the ship is undergoing scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
