Dozens of cities in Spain have mobilized in rejection against sexist violence this 25-N, International Day for the Eradication of Violence against Women. In Madrid, the epicenter of the feminist movement in Spain, they have marched divided. In the protest called in Gran Vía, part of the conveners have called for the resignation of Irene Montero. In that same concentration, behind a poster that read Equal and Free Women, have been three socialist ministers: Vice President Nadia Calviño, Isabel Rodríguez (Territorial Policy) and Reyes Maroto (Industry). The three have left before the end citing scheduling problems. The Minister of Equality, whom a part of feminism accuses of "erasing women" with her proposed trans law, has participated in another in the Vallecas neighborhood. He has not wanted to make statements. There are also marches in other capitals, in which the protesters have gone together. In San Sebastián, “Feminist Justice!” has been demanded. In Seville, they have remembered Ana Orantes, symbol of the fight against sexist violence, whose death is now 25 years old. In Valencia, the spokespersons for the concentration have recalled: "The lives of women need the involvement of the entire society." In Barcelona, the banner called for a unity that has not occurred in the capital on that day to demand the end of structural violence, the same for which 1,171 women have been murdered in Spain alone since 2003: "Let's occupy the streets together against sexist violence”.
