Flodden Field, farmland that is now the site of the battlefield.


Fought between the English and the Scots, ending with a decisive victory for the English under Thomas Howard, Earl of Surrey. James IV, king of the Scots died in the battle. The site is considered to be one of the best preserved battlefields in Europe.
