Hospital Saint Jacques in the French town of Borce, Pyrenees-Atlantiques, France
The church and the old hospital are very well preserved. Hôpital Saint Jacques was crucial at that time. It's a small chapel-shaped building specially made for pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela. Today this building is beautifully restored, retaining its original form and is used as an Expo hall, which speaks about its history over the centuries. Borce is a French commune in the Aquitaine region in the department of Pyrenees-Atlantiques, a few miles from the Spanish border. It maintains the typical structure of mountain towns and is located in an idyllic natural area. Its altitude is between 560 and 2258 m. and the surface is 65 km2.
