Symmetrical pattern with a butterfly in the midfield, flanked on two sides by a larger butterfly. The contours of the motifs are narrow ribbons clotted in linen with a thick embossed thread in the middle, as is also seen with Russian ribbon lace. The motifs are connected by braids that form four-pointed stars. Embellishments in the butterfly wings are made with leaves in shape and with some sort of coarse snowflakes or spiders.
