Medium size ; skin very thin, remarkably smooth and satiny ; color, bright; pulp, very fine, remarkably juicy, sweet, vinous and fine flavor. Old Vini. Size, above medium ; color, dark orange ; skin, rather rough ; pulp, some- what coarse, juicy, sweet, and remarkable for a sprightly aromatic flavor. Mediterranean Sweet. Large, bright; thin skin ; juic}', sweet and delicious. An early and prolific bearer ; thornless. Riverside or WastLing-ton Navel. Size, large; color, dark orange; pulp, very ten- der and melting, slightly sub-acid and highly flavored. A much more prolific and even bearer than any of the other Navels. Majorca. From the island of Majorca. A thornless, vigorous grower, bearing a dozen to twenty oranges the second year from the bud ; pulp, tender, sweet and juicy. Jaffa. Introduced by Genefal Sanford, from the Eastern Mediterranean. Fruit held by some to be unsurpassed, and said to command the highest price in the Paris market. Tree a strong grower, and nearly thornless. In appearance, one of the noblest of the citrus family. Tardiff. (Synonym, Hart's Late.) Medium sized, round, skin smooth and thin; grain fine, with a brisk and racy flavor. A common Florida orange, in quality above the average.
