SUE with flaming pyrotechnics exhaust in Longridge, Preston. UK News 18 September 2022; Soapbox Derby community charity event happening in the heart of the village. A day of “family fun, racing, wacky costumes and carts, thrills and spills” attracted thousands of visitors to the town's main street. Motorless, hand-made, wooden vehicles raced down Berry Lane as the village's main high street was converted into an unusual race track for the day. The event has been organised to raise vital funds for local charity Longridge Community Action.
