The blade is 36 inches wide and lifts the entire row at the desired depth con- trolled hydraulically. This gives uniform roots under all digging conditions. Plants are loosened in the soil and allowed to remain, unexposed until removed by (>\ir larKc digging crews. PACKING AND STORAGE All strawberry plants are brought directly from our grading and counting sheds and placed in this cold storage until packed for shipment to our customers. The storage pictured was especially constructed for the stor- age of strawberry plants. With automatically controll- ed circulation, moisture, and temperatures, plants very often liiToHic invigorated when placed in it.
