A simulated improvised explosive device is lifted in order to further inspect its ability to be moved to a safer location during the 2018 West Coast Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team Competition at Camp Pendleton, Calif., March 28, 2018. This was the first West Coast Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team Competition hosted by 7th Engineer Support Battalion Explosive Ordnance Disposal to test and challenge the Marines on mission essential task with competition based events. This portion of the competition tested the team’s problems solving skills under stress.
