Hydrorhiza a network of perisarcal tubes, covered by a layer of free coenosarc, but clearly visible through it in the thinner regions. Spines smooth, hollow and horn-coloured, of medium length, reaching a maximum height of o-6 mm. Gastrozooids reaching a height of about 2 mm.
