Pollock’s Toy Shop and Museum in Bloomsbury, London which has launched a crowdfunder to rescue the business from permanent closure, London, UK

Pollock’s Toy Museum plans to launch a crowdfunder to rescue the business from permanent closure. The museum and its small toy shop in Bloomsbury, London, have remained shut for most of the past year due to the pandemic. It relies entirely on visitors and has lost £15,000 in income over the last year. The business dates back to the 1850s when printer Benjamin Pollock created the famed printed toy theatres. Since the 1950s it has been an independent museum, now run by Eddy Fawdry (right) and Jack, the grandson and great-grandson of founder, Marguerite Fawdry.
