The game of cricket is the most popular sport in India and the Caribbean, it is also extremely popular in England, Australia and South Africa, (among others), although often misunderstood throughout the rest of the world. The game of cricket often conjures up images of fair play, resulting in the phrase "That's simply not cricket" in reference to something that seems unfair. It is also perceived that it is a game played by upper class, educated, successful gentleman. Although as the games popularity has increased drastically in recent years, the old fashioned (perceived) class barriers are being broken.
