THii first question to consider is what tuberculosis reallvis. Tuberculosis is commonly called consumption,and it is due to the presence in the body, in the varioustissues of the body, of a minute vegetable parasite, orthe tubercle bacillus. As we know now this tuberclebacillus grows after it gains entrance into the bodv, anddestroys the tissues, and if it produces serious effectsin a vital organ the result is the death of the animal orthe death of the individual that happens to be , this tubercle bacillus is an extremely minute thing,but although it is very very small still, as we all know,its effects are very serious
