In the temple of Castor the panel issquare, but there is a border in front and back, which showsthat the cornice had a greater projection. The corona wascarved with fluting, departing from the simplicity of the Pantheonexample, but evidently more to the taste of the Romans, asit is found in many subsequent examples.
