Letter E Van Esau; Ornamental alphabet; Nova alphati effictio. Ornamental letter E of the Biblical figure Esau, although he himself is missing. In the middle of the letter E a standing naked woman with laurel wreath on the head. On top of the letter is a putto with a bowl or scale in hand. Right downstairs a seated winged putto with fishing rod. The letter is further decorated with a bird, flowers, bunches of fruits and a lobster. On verso verses in Latin and German. Print is part of an album.
