Serous carcinoma, light micrograph. Serous carcinoma of the uterus is a highly aggressive form of endometrial carcinoma (cancer). It resembles high-grade serous carcinoma arising in the fallopian tubes and ovaries. Microscopically, it has a complex papillary architecture, high-grade cytologic features, extensive necrosis and increased mitotic activity.
