The Belie vae Stratford, Philadelphia Broad and iralnnt Streets. ST. LOUIS. The Market. The St. Louis wholesale market was crowded every day last week with car- nations and roses. Though not as fancy as they should be, they sold fairly well, as the retailers were quite busy with wedding and school work. Sweet peas have slackened up greatly and only a few are coming in at any of the markets. The glut at present is on gladioli, but tliey seem to be eon- fined to one wholesale house. The va- rieties coming in are America, Bride, Francis King and May. The price is down to $5 per hundred on all except America, which still brings $10. Can- didum and Easter lilies, too, can be counted in the glut. Long, fancy Beau- ties are scarce and there is a consider- able demand for them. Field daisies are coming in heavily, as well as a lot of other outdoor stock. Asters sell well; these, too, are confined to one house, with the prices from $1 to $3 per hun- dred. In greens, the market is in good condition. Various Notes. F. .T. Farney, representing M. Eice & Co., Philadelphia, was a caller last week. He reports a busy trip. Otto Sander was obliged to vacate his store on Wednesday, June 12. At last report, he had not yet found a suitable location to move to. Miss Anna Bernhard, recently with the Metropolitan Floral Co., is now with the Mullanphy Flower Co., on North Grand avenue. She is one of the fi
