Naples, Italy - October 2014; Naples' Castel Nuovo - New Castle - was first erected in 1279. It is an imposing medieval castle located in front of Piazza Municipio and the city hall. The castle was a royal seat for kings of Naples, Aragon and Spain until strategic location and eventful history means that it has been involved in numerous wars and sieges. The castle - and this interior window - looks out onto the city's old harbour.
