Hacibektas town near Nevsehir is the location of Haci Bektas Veli, the founder of the Bektasi sect in the 13th Excavations have revealed many relics from the Old Bronze, Assyrian, Hittite, and Phhrygian location of the town is a prehistoric settlement named Suluca Karahoyuk. Haci Bektas Veli created a scientific in the area and spread his ideas, the town was renamed after him on his death. He and many of his principal followers are buried here. "How glad for those who shed light into the darkness of thought" .wrote the famous Dervish. He taught the path of love, of peace, of knowledge, of belief.
