Minks are found throughout the greater part of the UnitedStates and Alaska. They do not occur in arid regions, asthey are dependent on water and are usually found nearstreams. They feed on fish, frogs, crawfish, and othersmall animals and birds. Their tracks in snow or sandalong streams indicate their presence. They are usuallycaught in Xo. 1 steel traps set in holes in the banks of smallstreams or in driftwood,
