Some wereephemeral and others had a life of a year or more. Of these literaryventures the most successful were The Students Gazette, edited in 1777by S. M. Fox, and The Universal Magazine and Literary Museum, a duo-decimo of 14 pp., edited in 1774 by Samuel L. Wharton.
