Flirting Namoradeira statue


This Namoradeira, or flirt was found in Juquehy, Brazil and is a traditional Brazilian folk art statue originated in the state of Minas Gerais. The origin is unknown and are an integral element of Brazilian culture. They are most often found placed on windowsills all over Brazil. They represent women sitting in their windows, greeting passersby, welcoming men and thoughtfully gazing out at the world.
