W. 12 THE MOVING PICTURE NEWS Scoop for Thanhouser — Special Austin Flood Pictures The heartrending scenes of suffering, horror and devasta-tion wrought by the Austin flood, the most disastrous floodsince the Johnstown, was filmed by the Thanhouser Com-pany. As soon as the news of the breaking of the BaylessDam was flashed across the country, the Thanhouser Com-pany despatched a staff of camera men down to the seat ofthe calamity. The men were back Monday with 3,000 feet;750 feet of the most remarkable of the pictures taken wereused. By Monday evening prints were exhibited in theThanhouser studio. This is one of the most remarkable featsrecorded, and is an example of the enterprise and the work-ing facilities of the Thanhouser Company.
