The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Ascension,on Bull street, fronting Court-House Square, is the third edi-fice on the same site. The congregation was organized in1750. The earlj- records of the society are lost, but it is sup-posed to have been founded by two German preachers—Rubenhorst and Wottman. The present church was builtin 1877.
