The genus Plumbago covers about 10 to 20 different species of flowering plants. This beautiful blue Plumbago can be found all over the world in tropical and temperate regions, and is very popular in Europe. The main flowering period occurs between November and May. The name Plumbago derives from the Latin words for lead ("plumbum") and resemble ("agere").
