Dish with Heraldic Shield, 1470–1500, Made in probably Manises, Valencia, Spain, Spanish, Tin-glazed earthenware, Overall: 17 1/8 x 2 3/4 in. ( x 7 cm), Ceramics, Toward the end of the fifteenth century, Valencian potters created new forms, modeled after contemporary metalwork, with raised studs and ribbing.
