street of Arras, Northern France. Arras was the capital of Artois. Emblem of Arras Arras, with its old centre, is one of the prettiest towns in northern France. Although it was significantly destroyed in World War I it has been carefully reconstructed. There is an entrance to the belfry viewing platform inside the town hall.
