Paratroopers assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division salute as the casket of 2nd lt. Thomas Lucas (Ret.) is carried out of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Madison, Wisc., July 21, 2021. Lucas served in the 504th and 508th Parachute Infantry Regiments, 82nd Airborne Division during World War II and the Korean War. Lucas was laid to rest after a funeral service that included Paratroopers from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division.
